Where Can I Buy Your Books?

Hello, Janet

Piper Hawes (Jane,to me)is my cousin. I met you dancing at Ellen's wedding reception this month. Janie told me about your books and how you tried your stories out on Elizabeth and Ellen when they were little girls. Fascinated, I stayed up most of that night reading Ellen's collection of your books with personal inscriptions from you thanking her for her "help." What a priceless treasure! I had promised my ten-year-old granddaughter, Amanda, that I would bring her a souvenir from my trip to Rhode Island. She loves to read, and I think she would especially enjoy "The Dancing Cats of Applesap" and "How I Became a Writer and Oggie Learned to Drive" to start off. What could be a more appropriate and meaningful souvenir than award-winning books by an author who lives where I was visiting and is a friend to her cousins? An interesting sidelight is the fact that our cousins live on a street named after your grandmother. Do you know where I might be able to purchase your books here in Southern California? Or online, perhaps. I would prefer hardcovers but have found used paperback editions I can order from Borders if all else fails. This is more a fan letter than a review, but I couldn't figure out a better way to contact you. Suffice it to say, I enjoyed every one of your stories I read that night, and I'm already recommending them to my friends here who have children of varying ages and interests.

hmmm

from the reviews it seems like a good book. I'll have to check it out of the school library

Dont trust people with fancy shoes,
Beatrice
